The Stellantis Group, which currently competes in Formula E with the DS Automobiles and Maserati brands, is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer for the Versailles Satory site via a job advert on the social network LinkedIn. Nothing unusual so far, as there are almost identical job advertisements from other teams. However, one detail makes you sit up and take notice.

"Stellantis Motorsport is charging towards Formula E Gen4 at full speed", begins the job advert. It continues: "e're going big, we're going bold and we're building a project designed to fight at the front of the championship."

An applicant must have five years' experience in a comparable position in Formula E, the World Endurance Championship or Formula 1. However, there is one statement that comes as a surprise: "For the first time in our Formula E history, Stellantis will be competing with its own team - built to compete without compromises."

This seems to confirm that the Stellantis Group has acquired a team licence for the Gen4 era. However, it is unclear which licence it is: In addition to the previous McLaren licence, the licence of the Stellantis customer team MSG Racing is also said to have been transferred back into the possession of Formula E. Formula E also owns the twelfth racing licence, which has been vacant since Techeetah left at the end of the Gen2 era.
