The "Eternal City" on the banks of the river Tiber looks back on more than 2,000 years of eventful history. During the centuries of the Roman Empire, the metropolis flourished into a world power. Today, cathedrals, expansive piazzas and the world-famous Colosseum adorn the image of the Italian capital. Due to the Pope, who resides in the Vatican within Rome, the city is also the religious center of the Catholic Church.
Formula E is hosted in the EUR district in the south of Rome. EUR, short for "Esposizione Universale di Roma," was built by the fascist regime under Mussolini as part of the planned 1942 World's Fair, although the outbreak of World War II meant work could not be completed until the 1960s. Today, EUR is considered an important business district and is home to several international companies as well as some of Italy's ministries.
Formula E first raced in Rome in 2018 and adapted the track layout in 2021 in favor of a longer lap distance. The popular circuit is characterized by its uneven asphalt and large differences in altitude. After a mass collision in 2023, the racing series decided to move the Italian race to Misano for the following year.

- Technically very demanding. Typical street circuit layout with many 90-degree turns and short straights. Overtaking difficult. Section between T4 and T17 is new. Large differences in altitude.

- In the past very wavy, exact nature of the new sections of the track still unknown.
- Grip Level
- Low at the start, should improve continuously over the course of the weekend. Different start times on Saturday and Sunday could result in grip changes.
- Risk of Accidents
- Relatively high, as technically demanding and directly bordered by walls. No room for error.
- Key Factors
- Good mechanical grip on the bumps, good qualifying, well predictable car setup.
- Specifics
- Unique pit lane layout: long paths, therefore high time loss in case of a drive-through penalty.
