After the cancellation of the 2024 pre-season test drives in Valencia due to severe flooding, Formula E quickly switched to the Circuito del Jarama for its collective test. The permanent race track is located about 30 kilometers outside of Madrid and is used by the Spanish Formula 4, the TCR Spain and the European Truck Championship, among others. Electric cars have also raced here before Formula E: in 2022, the FIA ETCR held its second season race in Spain at Jarama.

The first Madrid E-Prix will take place here on 21 March 2026.
