After several years of preliminary work, the Zurich ePrix was finally confirmed for the fourth Formula E season (2018) in September 2017. The contract will initially run for two years. This was preceded by a council decision allowing circuit races to be held in Switzerland for the first time in around 60 years - but only with electric cars.
