Franco-Argentine Sacha Fenestraz won the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup title in 2017. The following year, 2018, he contested his first full season in European Formula 3. In 2019, he crowned himself champion in Japanese Formula 3. Fenestraz made his debut in a Formula E car at the 2020 rookie test in Marrakech, when he climbed into the car for Panasonic Jaguar Racing. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he accompanied the British team as an official reserve driver.
At the 2022 Seoul E-Prix, Fenestraz made his Formula E racing debut when he stepped in at short notice for the injured Antonio Giovinazzi. After the season, he left Jaguar and signed on as a regular driver with Nissan. After a few notable successes, including pole position at the Cape Town E-Prix, the team extended his contract. After being clearly outscored by his new team-mate Oliver Rowland in 2024, he lost his cockpit despite having a valid contract.
