During the 2023 Formula E rookie tests, reigning Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich took the wheel for Maserati MSG Racing and set the best time of the test days in Berlin and Rome. Before the 2023 Formula 1 season, the Brazilian was considered a candidate for the "top class," but in the end did not get a regular cockpit, instead only becoming a test and reserve driver for Aston Martin.
