The US-based team Dragon Racing presented the Swede Joel Eriksson in February 2020 as its new test and reserve driver - initially until the end of the 2019/20 season. Eriksson had already gained his first Formula E experience in 2018, when he took part in the Formula E rookie test for Virgin Racing. He later drove for BMW in the DTM.
Eriksson made his comeback in a Formula E car during the 2020 rookie test in Marrakesh for Dragon. Towards the halfway point of the 2021 season, he was given Nico Müller's regular cockpit at Dragon and contested the season until the end. Today, he's one of Jaguar TCS Racing's test and reserve drivers.
