Kelvin van der Linde has been part of the Audi Sport driver squad between 2015 and 2023. He won the ADAC GT Masters, the Nürburgring 24 Hours and other endurance races with the Ingolstadt-based team on several occasions. In 2021, he made his DTM debut and finished third overall.
At the 2020 rookie test in Marrakech, van der Linde drove a Formula E car for the first time for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler. However, it took three more years before he made his first race appearance: Following Robin Frijns' injury, van der Linde made his Formula E debut as a reserve driver for ABT Cupra at the 2023 Diriyah E-Prix. The South African also took part in the Hyderabad E-Prix.
