Alice Powell gained her first Formula E experience at the 2020 rookie test in Marrakech, where she got into the car for Virgin Racing. However, she already had experience in electric motorsport - as a driver for Jaguar ran racing Team Germany in the Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy. In 2012 and 2013, Powell competed in the GP3 Series, and later in the W Series. The Briton is also the first woman to win a Formula Renault championship. In the 2022 Formula E season, she will support Envision Racing as the official simulator and development driver.
