Daniel "Dan" Ticktum won the Macau Grand Prix in 2017 and 2018. As a Red Bull-sponsored junior driver, he made his FIA Formula 2 debut in 2018, where he won several races. Formula 1 team Williams later signed him, but terminated the deal in early August 2021.
On November 25, 2021, the Chinese Formula E team Nio 333 announced Ticktum as one of its drivers for the 2022 season. To this day, he competes for the Shanghai-based team.
