Edoardo "Edo" Mortara is regarded as a master of steet circuits. The Geneva-born driver, who holds the Swiss as well as the Italian citizenship, can look back on a total of four cross-class victories at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix - more than any other starter in history - in addition to the 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series championship title. In 2016, he was DTM runner-up with Audi before switching to Mercedes.
In 2017, Mortara started his first Formula E year with Venturi and finished on the podium on his very first race weekend. At the 2019 Hong Kong E-Prix, he celebrated his first victory in the series. In the 2021 season, he was runner-up in Formula E, and the following year he finished third overall.
In 2023, he stayed with the team, which now competed under the name Maserati MSG Racing. After a very disappointing season in which he was overshadowed by his new team-mate Max Günther, Mortara switched to Mahindra Racing in 2024. After a weak 2024 season, he came back stronger in the following season and was able to secure podium places once again.
