Caio Collet began his formula racing career in 2017 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, where he took one win and six podium finishes. The following year, he became French Formula 4 champion with seven victories. This was followed by two seasons in the Formula Renault Eurocup, where he finished second in the overall standings in 2020. His performances earned him a place in the FIA Formula 3, where he took three wins and 11 podium finishes in three seasons.
On 18 January 2024, Nissan presented Collet as the new reserve and simulator driver for the tenth Formula E season.
