Entrepreneur, visionary, racing driver, media magnet: Lucas di Grassi is one of the most polarizing and diverse characters in the Formula E paddock. In his career, the charismatic Brazilian has experienced all facets of motorsport: from the GP2 runner-up title in 2007 to taking part in a full Formula 1 season and securing second place at Le Mans, di Grassi played part in almost everything the past racing decade had to offer. Di Grassi also served as interim managing director of Roborace, a planned racing series for autonomous driving electric vehicles.

In Formula E, di Grassi is one of the most successful drivers in history: points, wins, podiums, top-10 results - di Grassi ranks among the top drivers in most statistics. He finished all of his first five seasons in the top 3. After finishing runner-up in 2016, he won the title a year later in Montreal. In the 2019/20 season, he went without a win for the first time and finished sixth at the end of the season. Following Audi's factory team exit in 2021, he joined ROKiT Venturi Racing for the 2022 season.

After just one season, di Grassi had in the meantime become the first driver to crack the 1,000-point benchmark in Formula E, his path then led him to Mahindra Racing. However, things did not work out for the Brazilian either, so he returned to the ABT team for the 2024 season.
