Jose Maria Lopez

Jose Maria Lopez joined Formula E for the third season (2016/17). The Argentine succeeded Jean-Eric Vergne at DS Virgin Racing. He then drove for Dragon Racing until the 2019/20 season.

Until 2006, Lopez raced in Formula racing, including GP2, before moving to the touring car scene. From 2013 to 2016, "Pechito," as he is nicknamed, competed in the WTCC, where he won the world championship in 2014 and 2015. With Toyota, he also won several world championship titles in the WEC endurance series.
