Mike Conway won the British Formula 3 Championship in 2006. He then raced in GP2 until 2008 and competed in the U.S. IndyCar Series between 2009 and 2014. In 2015, Conway drove for Toyota in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) for the first time, and in 2021 he won the world championship title in the series.
Conway came into contact with Formula E at an early stage. Before the inaugural season, the Briton tested the SRT_01 E for Dragon Racing at Donington, but ultimately failed to get a contract. After Venturi parted company with Jacques Villeneuve in January 2016, Conway took over the car until the end of the second season. Conway returned to Formula E for one stint in season 3, replacing Loic Duval, who had to fulfill his commitments with Audi in the DTM, in Faraday Future Dragon Racing at the 2017 Paris E-Prix.
During the inaugural season, he appeared in Monaco and Berlin alongside Jack Nicholls as co-commentator on the world TV signal.
