Esteban Gutierrez

Esteban Gutierrez competed in a total of 59 Formula One Grands Prix between 2013 and 2016 and scored a total of six points. After Nico Rosberg, he is the second youngest Formula 1 driver ever to record a fastest race lap. After seasons for Sauber (2013 to 2014), Ferrari (reserve driver, 2015) and Haas F1 (2016), the Mexican remained without a cockpit for the 2017 Formula One season. On March 9, 2017, it was announced that Gutierrez would drive for Formula E team Techeetah from the 2017 Mexico City E-Prix onwards - at least until the end of the season, it was said. After just three races, however, he left Formula E again and was replaced by Stephane Sarrazin. The talk was of breach of contract on the part of Gutierrez.

The Mexican switched to the IndyCar Series for a few races instead. In the meantime, as Mercedes' third driver, he also took over parts of the "Silver Arrows'" development and preparation work in Formula E and Formula 1.
