Michela Cerruti is the daughter of Italian racing driver Aldo Cerruti. In 2008, she made her debut in the Italian Touring Endurance Championship, in which she also competed in 2009. In the following two years, Cerruti competed in the Superstars Series and was the first woman to win a race in this championship. In AutoGP, the Italian finished sixth overall in 2014.
In 2014 and 2015, Cerruti competed for the Trulli Formula E team. After her last race in Buenos Aires, she switched back to the TCR International Series, which she joined initially as a driver and eventually as an operations manager for Alfa Romeo. She now also drives the brand's entries in the WTCR as well as the FIA eTouring Car World Cup.
