Nicolas Lapierre

Nicolas Lapierre started his career in karting in 1993. He raced in Formula Renault, Formula 2000 Eurocup, Formula 3 and GP2, among others. In 2008, he contested the Asian Le Mans Series together with teammate Loic Duval and finished both rounds on the podium. Before the second Formula E season (2015), Lapierre tested for Aguri at Donington but did not get a cockpit.

He got his next chance in a Formula E car more than four years later at the 2020 rookie test in Marrakech. Here he filled in at short notice for James Rossiter at DS Techeetah, who had to stand in for Jean-Eric Vergne, who had fallen ill in the 1st free practice session, and was therefore not allowed to take part in the rookie test.
