Antonio Fuoco first competed in a formula series in 2013 after successful years in karting. As part of Ferrari's junior academy, the Italian finished third overall in GP3 in 2016 before contesting two years in Formula 2. There he won a total of three races.

At the 2018 preseason test in Valencia, Fuoco got his first chance to test a Formula E car. He shared the No. 6 Dragon with Maximilian Günther. The Italian then took part in the 2019 (Dragon) and 2020 (Nio) rookie tests in Marrakech. Since then, Fuoco has been involved in various endurance series and as a simulator driver for the Ferrari Formula 1 team.
