Maserati

Maserati entered Formula E as an official manufacturer at the start of the Gen3 era, i.e. the 2023 season. The Italian brand is taking on a special role in the championship. That's because although the newcomer got their own manufacturer status - Maserati had to pay a fee of €250,000 to the FIA for this - the powertrain is identical to the one developed by Stellantis sister DS Automobiles. A new paragraph was included in the Formula E regulations specifically for this purpose.
