>>> Zak O'Sullivan drives for Envision

[01/22 | 5:45 pm] Envision Racing has also announced its driver for rookie training in Miami: Zak O'Sullivan will once again take his place in the Gen3 Evo car. The Brit, who is competing in his second season in the Japanese Super Formula this year, drove the team's Jaguar powered car in both the rookie training in Jeddah and the rookie test in Berlin last year.

>>> Lola Yamaha ABT puts Hugh Barter in the driver's seat

[01/22 | 09:00 am] The next announcement for rookie training in Miami: Hugh Barter will take his place in the Lola Yamaha ABT. The Australian-Japanese racing driver drove a Formula E car for the first time at the 2023 rookie test in Berlin at the age of 17, then for Maserati. Last year, Barter drove for Lola Yamaha ABT again at the rookie test. He is also the team's official simulator driver.

>>> Indy NXT champion Dennis Hauger drives for Andretti

[01/21 | 6:00 pm] Andretti has announced that Dennis Hauger will be driving the team's car. The Norwegian, who won the Indy NXT championship with Andretti last year and will make his IndyCar debut in a few weeks, already drove a Gen3 car at the rookie test in Berlin in 2024. At that time, however, Hauger was driving for the Porsche factory team.

>>> Cupra Kiro fields Pepe Marti

[01/21 | 11:00 am] No surprises at Cupra Kiro: the team is fielding its regular driver Pepe Marti at the rookie training session in Miami. The Spaniard, who competed in his first Formula E race at the Sao Paulo E-Prix in December, is the only regular driver in the racing series eligible to compete.

The background to this is a rule change whereby a driver is still considered a rookie in his debut season and is allowed to participate in the corresponding tests and sessions. e-formula.news reported exclusively on this change last year.

>>> Theo Pourchaire drives for Citroën Racing

[01/20 | 10:30 am] The next Formula E rookie for the additional training session in Miami has been confirmed: former Formula 2 champion and Stellantis factory driver Theo Pourchaire will be behind the wheel for Citroën in Florida. The Frenchman was already behind the wheel for Maserati MSG Racing during last year's rookie training. In addition, following his Gen4 test in Spain a few days ago, he is considered a hot candidate for a cockpit at Opel, the presumed newcomer to Formula E.
