Formula E returns to Miami this weekend for a race after more than ten years. As always, you can find out what else is going on in the paddock at Homestead-Miami Speedway besides the action on the track in the latest edition of our popular "Paddock Whispers" series. We will update this news ticker regularly throughout the weekend.

[11.04. | 21:18] Heavy rainfall early Friday afternoon (local time) meant that Formula E had to cancel its shakedown session in Miami. In this session, the drivers are allowed to drive three laps with a maximum power output of 110 kW. This is normally used for functional tests, such as testing the radio. The drivers therefore had to complete these tests in the 1st free practice session.

[11.04. | 15:51] A number of celebrities are once again expected to attend the Miami E-Prix: In addition to Günther Steiner, former team boss of the Haas Formula 1 team, actors Lucien Laviscount, Sung Kang and Caleb McLaughlin will also pay a visit to the E-Prix. Two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi and the two Evo Sessions participants Emelia Hartford and Scott Mansell (aka Driver61) will also be guests.

[11.04. | 07:56] Cupra Kiro has entered into a new partnership with Marvel Studios. The team will be competing at the Miami E-Prix with a special livery to promote the film Thunderbolts, which is due to be released in cinemas in a few weeks' time. A matching trailer can be seen on the team's Instagram account.

>>> Formula E tests pit boost in 1st free practice
[11.04. | 07:13] Even though the Miami E-Prix will not be a race with fast charging stops, the pit boost chargers will be in use this weekend: the teams will have another opportunity to test the pit stop in the 1st free practice session on Friday evening before it will be seen again in the E-Prix at the next race weekend in Monaco.

[10.04. | 21:37] As with every race, Porsche will be racing in Miami with two new slogans on the Halo system: "Bienvenidos a Miami", Spanish for "Welcome to Miami" and "Party in the City where FE is on" are both references to the 1997 song "Miami" by Will Smith.

[10/04/20] It's a dream come true for Formula E World Champion Pascal Wehrlein: Penske Porsche Motorsport has included the German in its driver line-up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Wehrlein will drive a Porsche 963 together with Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy. It will be Wehrlein's second race outing in the car, having already contested the 24 Hours of Daytona for Porsche customer team JDC-Miller MotorSports as part of the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship.

[10.04. | 16:05] Formula E is offering VIP tickets for sale to the public for the first time. Ahead of the Miami E-Prix, the racing series launched a collaboration with "Seat Unique". On this platform it is now possible to book exclusive packages as part of the Formula E race weekend for the price of 581 and 4,521 euros per ticket.

[10/04/15:23] Andretti Global has announced ahead of the Miami E-Prix that the Andretti Formula E team has successfully completed the recertification of its environmental management system to ISO 14001:2015.
