Formula E creates World Championship title for Manufacturers from season 11

At its meeting on 11 June 2024, the FIA World Motor Sport Council decided that a new world championship title will be awarded in Formula E: From the coming season, the most successful manufacturer in the electric racing series will also be able to officially call itself world champion.
Formula E had already introduced such a classification after the first three races of the current season, but under the title "Manufacturers' Trophy" and without world championship status. The race results of the manufacturer's two best-placed cars are counted for this, with bonus points for pole position and the fastest race lap among the top ten also being added up.

Points in the new manufacturers' world championship will also be awarded according to this system. From the coming season, a world championship title will be awarded to the most successful manufacturer. In the manufacturers' trophy for the 2024 season, the first and only one without world championship status, Porsche leads Jaguar after 12 of 16 races, followed by Nissan and Stellantis (DS Automobiles/Maserati).
