Formula E Live Ticker
From May 1 we will be covering the race weekend in Berlin. You can find out more in advance here:
This is my farewell to you all! Berlin has once again delivered two unspeakably exciting races. It was a wonderful weekend for Porsche in their iconic special livery and Müller's first victory. Mitch Evans is celebrating an incredible victory from 17th place today, and in a fortnight' time the world championship battle will come to a head. Then it's off to Monaco!
It was a miserable race for yesterday's winner Nico Müller, who only finished thirteenth. Cupra Kiro also scored no points and Cassidy and De Vries were the only two retirements. Felix da Costa was the last driver on the track after the collision with Müller.
Dennis finishes sixth with Andretti ahead of yesterday's pole setter Mortara, who loses the championship lead again to Wehrlein. Vergne, Drugovich and Eriksson complete the top 10!
Buemi finishes fourth in Envision despite almost running out of energy at the start. Norman Nato finally collects a solid pile of points in fifth place. The result was really important for the Frenchman, who was previously 66 points behind his team-mate by just one point.
Oliver Rowland finishes second! There is still no investigation. He may therefore retain this podium place. Pascal Wehrlein finishes third and can round off Porsche's weekend with a podium finish. A win, a pole position and a podium are a well-rounded weekend for the German team.
MITCH EVANS WINS IN BERLIN! The New Zealander achieves this huge success after an ideally executed strategy! Insanely strong performance from Evans!
There is still no investigation against Rowland for the overtaking manoeuvre in second place. The final lap is underway...
Two laps to go! Evans is almost certain to win, but now there is a full-course yellow. Felix da Costa and Müller have collided and Felix da Costa has a puncture! Full-course yellow is immediately cancelled.
Evans falls behind Wehrlein when he activates attack mode. The two pull away from the rest of the field. EVANS CAN OVERTAKE WEHRLEIN AGAIN! The track is probably slippery on the start-finish and there is a yellow flag! ROWLAND OVERTAKES AT YELLOW FOR P2!
Oliver Rowland now activates his attack mode. He has four minutes with the extra power. Evans continues to lead and still has two minutes in attack mode. Wehrlein is right behind him!
Nato drops back. Vergne is now third and Wehrlein is right behind him in fourth place!
Mitch Evans is able to open up a small gap. However, he has two minutes less attack mode than the Nissan behind him. He now has to close the gap to avoid being overtaken by them again. Wehrlein now activates his last attack mode in 5th place!
Mitch Evans takes the lead and has more energy than his pursuers. He also picks up the pace immediately!
Mitch Evans was able to drive up to third place with his attack mode. However, he still has two per cent more energy than both Nissans in front of him! Müller receives a warning for his unsportsmanlike driving behaviour.
Nato is still in the lead. Wehrlein is right behind him in second place and ahead of his former team-mate Felix da Costa in third place. We are on lap 24 of 37. We will soon reach the point where the race victory is at stake and the pace will be extremely tightened.
Rowland now has support at the front from his team-mate Nato. Nato takes the lead in attack mode and pulls Vergne and Rowland behind him.
Rowland is currently leading the field and still has an energy advantage over his direct rivals in the lead group. At the very back, however, Evans now has three per cent more than Rowland. If Evans is able to attack in attack mode, he could find himself in a very promising position.
Eriksson receives a warning for moving under braking. Meanwhile, Rowland has taken the lead. He picks up the pace and the drivers in the deficit struggle to keep up or drop back.
At the moment, Sebastien Buemi is in the lead. His team-mate is in third place. Envision is constantly rotating in the leading group, but the two are already in deficit. Mortara and Wehrlein are also using up a lot of energy. Rowland in 4th place is currently in the best position.
Zane Maloney is the first rider to activate attack mode. He is currently in 14th place.
The drivers have to concentrate as much as possible to avoid colliding with each other in this group. Wehrlein also almost lost his nose on the Envision. Nissan now pushes into the leading group! Rowland has three per cent more energy than the competition around him.
The leading group is extremely close together. Through most of the corners, they drive three abreast. The drivers at the back - both Nissans, both Cupra Kiro and Evans - are slowly gathering a surplus of energy!
Nick Cassidy has front wing damage! When braking, Buemi pulls slightly to the left and Cassidy, who had already braked, was unable to get out of the way. Cassidy has to go into the pit lane to change his wing. He is now at the back of the field!
Envision is currently in the double lead. Eriksson is leading the race. The energy levels are largely identical. Dennis in 14th place currently has a minimal advantage.
Mortara was unable to prevent the collision. Next to him again, Buemi had squeezed onto the inside lane. Four into the corner simply didn't work! De Vries is the biggest loser, he has to park his car.
Sebastien Buemi started in 16th place and was already in second place on lap three. It's the best example of how the initial phase works. MORTARA COLLIDATES WITH DE VRIES! De Vries then slides into Cassidy, who almost spins! De Vries has damage to the car, that could be it for his E-Prix!
It is now crucial for the riders to stay in the leading group or, ideally, to position themselves within the top 10. When they do this is relatively unimportant. But there will be a lap in the race where the pace suddenly picks up and then the track position counts!
GREEN FLAG! FULL CURRENT IN BERLIN! Pascal Wehrlein can keep the lead, but whether he wants to is another question. The field of drivers literally rolls into the race. Wehrlein now lets Barnard and Cassidy pass him!
The drivers get ready for the start. The race begins in just a few moments!
The track position will be of little value today, at least in the first few laps. It will be an energy-intensive race and we won't see anyone voluntarily leading the first 20 laps. That's why drivers like Rowland or Müller who start far back are still fully in the race!
Pascal Wehrlein narrowly missed out on pole position yesterday and then had bad luck with a puncture in the race when his team-mate Müller was able to win. Today he is on pole position and in the best position to win!
Happy Sunday afternoon and best wishes from the race track at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. The second race of the weekend gets underway here at 16:05 CEST.
